Call for Expression of Interest: Training on Fact-checking of Electoral Information

The International Press Centre (IPC), Lagos-Nigeria calls for applications from interested journalists based in Kogi, Bayelsa and Imo States to participate in a two-day training workshop on fact-checking and election reporting.  Criteria Journalists who meet the following criteria should apply: How to Apply Journalists who meet the criteria should send their interests, and include two (2) links of their electoral related stories to info@ipcng.org. CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: VISIBILITY/WORKSHOP MATERIALS

The International Press Centre (IPC), implementing partner of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP i-verify) project, hereby calls for expression of interest from vendors for the production/supply of workshop material. The supply/production of the workshop material is required by IPC to serve as visibility material for its workshops/capacity-building activities under the i-Verify project. ITEM TO BE SUPPLIED/PRODUCED a.   500 pieces of IPC/UNDP i-Verify branded Tote bags (padded):17 inches in height by 14 inches in width. b.   500 pieces of  IPC/UNDP  i-Verify branded Jotters c.   500 pieces of IPC/UNDP i-Verify branded pens d.   500 pieces of IPC/UNDP  i-Verify  branded T-shirts e.   500 pieces of IPC/UNDP  i-Verify  branded  Fez Caps f.    30 pieces of IPC/UNDP i-Verify  branded Varsity Jackets g.    6   pieces of IPC/UNDP i-Verify  branded Press Jackets SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS ·       Each of the items would have an imprint of the approved IPC/UNDP insignia. The dimension of the Tote bag shall be 17 inches in height by 14 inches in width. INFORMATION TO VENDORS/SUBMISSION OF LETTER OF INTEREST i.          Interested vendors should send their notice of interest as a vendor with a proforma invoice for the item bearing in mind the information as provided under the specific requirements for the item. ii.        Vendors should note that IPC is a non-profit making organisation that believes in the concept of value for money, hence the decision of the Procurement Committee, among others, shall be based on the concept of value for money. iii.      Note that payments for successful vendor shall be in the sum of 80% as advance and 20% as balance, based on certification of successful delivery of services/goods. NOTE TO VENDORS: Sequel to the submission of quotes and summary review by procurement committee, shortlisted vendors shall be invited to an interface where the work sample  (print design or replica samples) of the product or similar works done shall be assessed. The replica products may also be sent virtually. Vendors should note that invitation to the interface session is not an intention of award. The supply/production of the aforementioned workshop materials is required by IPC to serve as visibility materials for its workshops/capacity-building activities under the EUSDGN II project. CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Consultant – Final Project Evaluation The International Press Centre (IPC) hereby calls for expression of interest by suitably qualified Consultants for the evaluation of activities carried out by IPC under component 4b: Support to Media of the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN) Project which ran from December 9, 2017-April 8, 2022. Deliverables: (Tasks of the engagement) Pursuant to the achievement of the objectives and goals, a consultant or team of consultants shall conduct an evaluation of all programmatic activities carried out by IPC in the course of project implementation in line with the goals and objectives outlined for the project. The evaluator shall provide an independent  analysis/assessment of IPC activity implementation process in relation to the following: Strategies deployed for activity implementation; Outputs generated by project activities; Level of milestones attained; Specific/general impacts on target groups/audience; Overall progress on achievement of results; Sustainability of the project’s results; Level of adequacy of organisational/managerial capacities Provide feedback on gaps (if any) on the procedure adopted in implementing the project activities; Suggest strategies to IPC on project management and execution methodologies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project. Recommend best practices that could be adopted in improving the general implementation strategies towards meeting outlined objectives. Recommend other necessary indicators and monitoring strategy (as may be applicable)  for optimal results of the project; Commit to assist the project personnel in the continuous coordination of the project personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use, as may be applicable. Provide draft and final narrative report that addresses (i) & (xii) above. Contract timeline: The task of the consultancy is expected to be executed within a period of 4-6 weeks. Application Deadline: Qualified consultant(s) are required to send in a letter of interest stating requisite experience and applicable references in handling similar tasks. The application, which should include an indicative sum as consultancy fee should be sent to the IPC Assessment Committee on/before Monday April, 18 2022. Interested consultant(s) should be ready to work with other consultants as may be deemed suitable to meeting the objectives. Special considerations: The final decision of the assessment team/procurement committee shall be based on cost effectiveness, proof of past work, capacity for job excecution and available budget. CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: Consultant Book Publication

CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST Consultant – Book Publication The International Press Centre (IPC) hereby calls for expression of interest by suitably qualified Consultants for the production of a book publication on the harmonized outcome of quarterly media monitoring report on the trend of media coverage of the 2019 electoral process. The publication shall contain highlights of finding from media monitoring exercise carried out by IPC under component 4b: Support to Media of the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria (EU-SDGN) Project. Deliverables: The main deliverable of the contract shall be the publication of 2000 copies of a reader-friendly 80-100pages book containing summary highlights of ‘trends in media coverage of the 2019 electoral process’, as produced from the media monitoring activity of IPC. Related to the above shall be all editorial process involved in the publishing process including page layout, graphics design, ISBN registration, printing and related activities. Expected product; The expected product from the contract shall be the delivery of 2000 copies of well-printed, well layout and reader friendly copies of the publication, entitled ‘final report: trends in media coverage of the 2019 electoral process by 12 print/online newspapers”. Contract timeline: The task of the consultancy is expected to be executed within a period of 2-3 weeks.
